Are there any practical uses for pistachio shells other than sailboat hulls for tiny things?

You can put them in the bottom of planters/pots for drainage. Put them crushed in the garden or potted plant soil for added texture. Put them crushed or whole on top of dirt as a mulch/ground/soil covering. That is, of course, in addition to the tiny sailboat and pebbling an ocean front property thing.
