Why does Obama not force OPEC to lower the price per barrel?

He has been one of the weakest presidents we have had. I mean first bowing to other leaders? And now getting bullied by the people that we buy our gas from. There is almost an unlimited source or oil below the earths crust and there is absolutely no reason the prices should be this high. Why charge so much for somehow that is near to unlimited... I mean he's gotta be rough in order to get some return.
