How long does it take to sail 500km ?

My parents just bought a sailboat, and are sailing it down to see me. They said the boat's 27 feet long; I can't remember what kind it was. I looked at a map and there's roughly 500km of water between us. How fast do these boats go ? How long will it take my parents to sail across 500km of water ?
