12 foot oday widgeon sailboat questions.?

I am considering buying a 12 foot oday widgeon sailboat but have some questions... Are they good boats to take into the ocean and sail, are they difficult to sail, hard to maneuver, reliable, safe, but mainly how will they be on the ocean? Please help and any additional details i would very much appreciate, thanks. Oh and i have a house in Marblehead,Ma so the boat would be in that area.
