Are there any 20' sailboats that dont have a swinging boom? Or something in that range?

I want to buy a 20' sailboat give or take a foot or two and i cant stand this swinging boom concept. It honestly pissesme off that when i need to turn i have this Aluminium rod hauling a$$ towards my head and i need to duck and swotch sides. Is there a sailboat that doesnt do this!? And how do you get used to making turns with this feature i find it difficult!! Please help! Links and boat suggestions are greatly appreciated.
